It is counter-intuitive, I know, but taking the problems of each person seriously, for what they are, saves time. The arithmetic doesn’t suggest it, but Year 6 arithmetic is the wrong analytical tool.
It is also lousy psychology and lousy management theory.
We are at the stage of chattering about cuts. Oops, being consulted about cuts.
I don’t think anyone in UK really wants to know how other people have coped with cuts. But the general discussion reminds me of what I learned elsewhere.
